Prof. Dr. Mahmut Nedim Aytekin was born in Adıyaman on 31.07.1981, completed medical school in 2005 and graduated from Marmara University Medical Faculty. He worked as an emergency physician at 82. Yıl Public hospital and as a general practitioner at Adıyaman Kızılcapınar and surrounding villages between 2005 and 2006. He completed his Orthopedics and Traumatology residency becoming an Operator Doctor between years 2006 and 2011 at Fatih University Medical Faculty.  He worked at Adıyaman University training research hospital and Ankara Atatürk Training Research hospital as a specialist doctor.

Dr. Aytekin has been a faculty member at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University since 2014 and became an associate professor in 2014 and a professor in 2017.  He worked as an Orthopedics and Traumatology Specialist between years 2014 and 2019 at Ankara Atatürk training and research hospital and was the first surgeon to carry out Orthopedic Cancer operations in this hospital. He worked at Ankara City Hospital between years 2019 and 2021 and also broke many grounds in this hospital in the Orthopedic Oncology field. He is currently practicing the art of medicine in his private practice (Istanbul and Ankara).

Prof. Dr. M. Nedim Aytekin has been present as a research and guest physician in New York at one of the most important hospitals in the USA the “Hospital for Special Surgery” and “Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He is currently representing our country on the International society of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology society committee.

Prof. Dr. M. Nedim Aytekin has more than 60 articles published in national and international refereed journals, more than 60 proceedings in national and international conferences and many chapters in books that have contributed to the orthopedics an traumatology field national and internationally.

Prof. Dr. M. Nedim Aytekin has carried out treatments of many patients in the last 15 years as well as succeeding as an academician and educator and is continuing his studies with the same devotion and excitement.
